Tour and Taste!

Durrell Academy Auk Island Winery TwillingateTwillingate's own unique berry winery and gift shop, Auk Island Winery and Gift Shoppe, is located in what was once Durrell Academy, the elementary school in the community.

The interior has been tastefully renovated for the Downhome gift shop from where visitors start a tour of the winery and end for a wine tasting.  Learn about the wine making process with local berries and pure iceberg water and end with a wine tasting and a few bottles to take home.

It is definitely worth a visit  - drive in the direction of Durrell and follow the signs to Auk Island Winery.  The winery and gift shop are open all year and the perfect activity when the weather wants to keep you indoors.
